Cavendish Lane
Cavendish lane,Castlebar,runs from Ellison street in a Northerly direction to the town ; it leaves Ellison street at the western end. It was the main road to the river but now Dunnes Stores prevents that.Later on the end nearest the river was the site of the brewery. On Cavendish Lane today is the Connacht Telegraph. Another building is John O'Donnell's pharmacy. Today it ends on at Hopkins Street. Also, the Green Way runs along the bank of the river.
